The Requested Completion Date is the closing date for a cohort. It can be shown in emails as the closing date for responses, and it also controls when the automatic cohort report is produced.
To change a cohort's completion date, use Reset Completion Date in the Manual Reminders window. This is the supported way to extend or reset the completion date. Do not change the date on the cohort's General tab.
When to extend the completion date
Extend the completion date before it passes if respondents need more time, for example when raters in a 360 are running late.
After the completion date has passed, the system checks the cohort each night to see whether the minimum number of responses has been received. It continues checking for a maximum of two months. If the minimum is reached after that two-month period, the cohort report is not sent automatically, and it must be run on demand. For details, see Automating Cohort Report Distribution.
How to reset the completion date for a cohort
- Go to Responses and click Send Reminders.
- In the Manual Reminders window, set Selection Criteria to Cohort (1).
- Select the Assessment (2).
- In Cohort Subject (3), enter at least two characters of the subject's name, then select the subject from the list.
- Select the New Requested Completion Date (4).
- Click Reset Completion Date (5).
Note: The Send Manual Reminders button in the same window sends the Manual Reminder email to every response in the selection that has not been completed. It is not required to reset the completion date. Click it only if you also want to remind respondents. For details, see Send Manual Reminder Emails.
