Cohort reports can be distributed automatically once each night, provided all of the required criteria are met. If a cohort report needs to be generated outside the automatic schedule, it can be run on demand from the Cohort Report Manager screen.
For automatic distribution, the system checks all cohorts each night and will generate and send the cohort report when all of the following are true:

The assessment's Cohort Email Recipient and Cohort Email Report fields are configured.
- These fields determine who the cohort report is sent to and which report template is used. They are configured under Assessment Settings > Feedback tab > Output section.

A Cohort Feedback email template exists on the assessment.
- Navigate to Assessment Settings > Emails and add an email template with the type set to Cohort Feedback.

A cohort report template is uploaded to the assessment.
- Navigate to Assessment Settings > Feedback tab, and upload the Word cohort report template under the Cohort Report section.

The cohort completion date has passed.
- The completion date is set on the Cohort Initiation. The completion date must have passed, but be no more than two months in the past.

The cohort has met the minimum number of responses required.
- This is specified on the cohort itself, or against the cohort roles on the assessment.
- The system has not already sent the cohort report for this cohort using this email template.
When all criteria are met, the cohort report is generated automatically and sent to the email address specified in the cohort settings, typically the cohort subject, contact, or assessment manager.
