This glossary contains commonly used terms in Brilliant Assessments.

| Classifiers | Link to an assessment or questions in an assessment, and can be used for creating benchmarks based on the answers to the related question. Also used to filter and split data and graphs in your reports. You can add as many classifiers to your assessment as you want. |

| Cohort Initiation | The process of setting up a cohort for responses. There are various initiation types (e.g. external initiation via URL link or manual initiation by a system admin/manager). |

| Iterations | Response data collected each time the same user (or cohort) retakes the same assessment. (Providing the assessment has iterations specified in the cohort settings.) A feature that allows reassessment of a cohort. Cohort results can be tracked and displayed over time. Cohort iterations can be automated to manage and report on ongoing assessments. |

| Ratings | Ratings classify, or group, response scores. These indicate the grade the respondent got for a particular sub-section, section, segmentation or response. Every assessment must have a base rating. Advanced Ratings allow for unlimited additional ratings to be created. |
