One assessment can be used across various audiences. Classifiers, Roles, Drivers, Customer Types, and Organizations help you customize your assessment and reports for different needs.
Here’s what each feature does:
- Classifiers. Linked to questions, they are used for creating benchmarks based on the answers to the related question. You can also use classifiers to filter and split data and graphs in your reports. You can add as many classifiers to your assessment as you want.
- Roles. Assigned to respondents within cohorts, roles differentiate participants. They allow you to filter and split data and graphs, show different parts of the assessment, and send tailored emails to each role.
- Drivers. Enable unique versions of assessments for different audiences by hiding or showing specific elements of an assessment. Drivers can be applied at the organization, cohort, or individual respondent level.
- Customer types. Used to personalize site text, emails, and reports for distinct audience groups. Customer types are set by a question in your assessment.
- Organizations. A flexible structure to categorize responses and customise elements of an assessment for those responses.

Example use case:
Let's say you have a team performance assessment that evaluates team performance across 17 aspects.
- Using Drivers: Organizations can customize the assessment by selecting which performance aspects are most relevant for their teams. These selections can be configured in the organization’s settings.
- Using Roles: You can define roles, such as manager and direct report, within your cohort assessment. This allows you to display graphs that breakdown performance by role within each team in the final cohort report, providing deeper insights into team dynamics. This is especially valuable in 360 scenarios.
- Customizing Communication: To personalize email invitations, you can assign a customer type to each role. This ensures the email messaging and reporting align with the recipient's perspective.
- Setting Benchmarks: If you want to compare a team’s performance against other teams in their department, you can use classifiers to create department-specific benchmarks. These benchmarks enhance the final cohort report by providing a meaningful context for their results.
