- TIP2: The initial formatting will be specified by the merge string in the Word document. Formatting here will override that.
- Chart Color override is used to assign a specific color to sections within the Feedback and Cohort report graphs. The default is to use rating colors but you can assign a specific color to a section.
Section Options
- Display Name. If entered, the display name replaces the Section name in the Response. The Section Name is used in all of the reporting.
- Randomization of Questions. Select this checkbox if you want the questions to appear randomly on the screen. Randomization is available at the Section or Subsection level. If it is implemented at the section level, subsections are ignored for the purpose of displaying the questions. All of the scoring and feedback report features continue to be available at the subsection and section level.
-
Is Timed Section. Select this checkbox if you wish to set a time limit for the section to be completed. After the time has expired answers can not be saved. Tips
- The timer only appears if the respondent is answering the assessment, not if an Administrator or Assessment Manager is viewing the response.
- You can also set a timer at the assessment level, or both. If you only want to set times for the individual sections you don't need to set an assessment level timer as well.
- Time Limit. This is in hours, minutes and seconds and this field only appears if "Is Timed Section" is selected.
-
Section Type. Select to indicate the type of section it is:
- Normal Section - when the section contains questions that need to appear in the response. They may include
- Individual Report - runs Calculations and Interpretations for an Individual Report and is selected when the section solely comprises of Calculations and Interpretations. Sections marked as 'Individual Report' will not display in the response and will not be processed until the report is produced. This is designed for assessments with lengthy Calculations and Interpretations - to save the respondent waiting while they are processed.
- Important Note: This feature restricts what can be shown on Results dashboards on the completion page of the response. Displays shouldn't rely on Calculations or Interpretations that are in these sections, as they will normally not be ready in time for display. The system starts the process of preparing the report (and therefore running calculations and interpretations) but they are unlikely to be complete by the time the results pages are formatted.
- Legacy Note: This is the equivalent of 'Calculations in Report' in previous versions of the software, but expanded to include Interpretations.
- Cohort Report - runs Interpretations for a Cohort Report and selected when the section solely comprises of Cohort Report Interpretations. Sections marked as 'Cohort Report' will not display in the response.
- Conditions. Used to make the section conditional on the answers to previous questions.
