You can copy any assessment in your account to create a new version, build a variation, or use it as a starting point for a new assessment.
To copy an assessment:
- From the main menu, open Assessments to view the Assessment List.
- Find the assessment you want to copy in the list.
- Click Copy next to that assessment.
A new copy of the assessment is created. The copy includes all of the original's ratings, rating text, instructions, graphics, report templates, sections, subsections, questions, and answers.
After copying:
- Rename the new assessment so it does not collide with the original in your list, especially if you use external links (each assessment must have a unique External ID).
- Update the version number if this copy represents a new release of the same assessment.
- Review the report templates and email templates, as both are duplicated and may need to be re-linked or re-edited for the new version.
