How do I copy a question to another subsection or assessment?

The Copy function lets you duplicate a question to another subsection, another section, or even another assessment. This is the only way to move a question outside its current subsection. Editing the position number alone will not move a question between subsections.

Steps

1. In the Assessment Builder, hover over the question you want to copy.
2. Click Copy.
3. In the dialog that appears, choose the destination assessment, section, and subsection.
4. Specify whether the new question should be positioned Before or After an existing question in the destination subsection.
5. Click Save. The question is duplicated to the destination, along with its answers, scoring, and report text.

Important constraint

The destination subsection must contain at least one existing question for the copy to succeed. The system needs an existing question to position the new copy Before or After. If the destination subsection is empty, add a placeholder question first, then complete the copy, then delete the placeholder if required.
