How do I reorder questions in an assessment?

Questions are displayed to the respondent in order of their position number within a subsection. To reorder questions, edit the position number on each question.

Reorder a single question

1. In the Assessment Builder, hover over the question you want to move.
2. Click Edit.
3. Change the Position number. Use a value between the surrounding questions' position numbers (for example, set 15 to place the question between positions 10 and 20).
4. Click Save.

Reorder several questions using the list view

If you need to reorder multiple questions, the list view in Assessment Settings is faster.

1. Go to Assessment Settings > Sections.
2. Select the relevant Section, then select the Subsection.
3. The questions in that subsection are displayed in a list view alongside their position numbers.
4. Edit the position number for each question, then save.

Limitations

You can only reorder questions within the same subsection using the position number. To move a question to a different subsection, section, or assessment, use the Copy function. See How do I copy a question to another subsection or assessment?
