No. The built-in credit card payment page in Brilliant Assessments does not support discount codes, coupons, or promotional codes. When Credit Card Payment Required is enabled on the assessment, respondents are charged the fixed amount set on the Pricing tab through the Stripe checkout screen, and that screen has no field for entering a code.
If you need to offer a discount, take the payment outside Brilliant Assessments, where you control the pricing, and then create the response in the platform once payment is complete.
Option 1 - Collect payment manually, then add the respondent
- Take the payment in your own Stripe account, for example through a Stripe Payment Link or invoice, where you can apply a Stripe coupon or promotion code.
- Once the payment is received, add the person as a respondent in Brilliant Assessments.
- The respondent receives the Welcome email containing the link to their assessment.
This approach requires no integration and is suitable for low volumes.
Option 2 - Automate it with an e-commerce integration or the API
For a more automated flow, connect your external store or checkout so that a paid order creates the response in Brilliant Assessments automatically:
- Use an e-commerce Zapier connection to create the response when an order is placed in your store. See Connecting E-Commerce Sites with Zapier.
- Use the API to create the response directly from your own payment workflow. See Using the API V2.
With either method, you run the discount or coupon in your own store or payment system, and Brilliant Assessments creates the response and sends the Welcome email automatically once payment completes.
In summary
- Discounts cannot be applied on the built-in Stripe payment page inside the assessment.
- To offer a discount, handle the payment in your external system (where coupons are supported), then create the response in Brilliant Assessments either manually or automatically.
