As an administrator, you can create an allotment of responses for an organization without taking payment, even if that organization's Allotment setting is Can be Purchased. This is useful when you have agreed pricing with a partner outside the system, or when you want to give an organization a free trial allotment.
To create a free allotment:
- From the Assessment Manager menu, click Allotments.
- Click Add Allotment.
- Select the Assessment and Organization the allotment is for.
- Enter the number of Responses Required.
- If the organization is set to Can be Purchased, tick the Custom Pricing checkbox (this option only appears when an administrator is logged in) and set the price to 0. The credit card fields are hidden once the price is zero.
- Click Save.
The organization now has the allocated responses available immediately, with no payment required. Their Allotments list will show the new allotment with the standard usage tracking (Allocated / Used / Unexpired / Available).
Note: If the organization's Allotment setting is Are Allocated rather than Can be Purchased, there is no payment screen at all. Simply enter the number of Responses Required and save. The Custom Pricing step only applies when the organization is set to "Can be Purchased".
