You cannot add a custom file attachment to an email template in Brilliant Assessments. This includes the Welcome email, reminders, and any other template. There is no field for uploading a file to attach.
The only attachment the system adds is the feedback report, and only on the email types designed to deliver a report:
- The Completion email, which automatically attaches the completion report when a report is configured to be sent.
- The Interim Report email, which automatically attaches the interim report when one is configured.
In both cases the report is attached automatically when the report is enabled for sending. No manual attachment step is involved, and no other file types can be added.
Workaround - link to a document instead
The email body supports hyperlinks. If you need to give respondents a document (for example a guide, brochure, or terms sheet), host the file online (on your website or a file-sharing service) and insert a link to it in the email body. This works in any template, including the Welcome email.
