This release introduces API V2 with two-key authentication, Webhooks for real-time notifications, and a native Zapier integration with automatic webhook setup.
API V2
Brilliant Assessments has released API V2, replacing the single API key with a more secure Public Key + Private Key authentication model. V2 also includes additional data fields (RatingText2-5, ReportText4-5), partner/organization API access, and interactive Swagger documentation for testing endpoints directly.
API V1 will continue to work until December 31, 2027. You can run both versions simultaneously during migration.

Webhooks
You can now receive real-time notifications when assessment responses are created, started, changed, or completed. Instead of polling the API on an interval, BA sends the ResponseID to a URL you specify. You then call the API to retrieve the full response data.

Native Zapier Integration
A native Brilliant Assessments V2 app is now available in Zapier. You can select a trigger event (e.g., Response Completed), retrieve the full response data using the built-in Get Response action, and route it to Google Sheets, Slack, HubSpot, and 6,000+ other apps.
The webhook is automatically created in BA when you publish the Zap - no manual configuration required. The step-by-step guide is here.
