September 2025 - Upgrades to API

The API has been upgraded to reduce vulnerability to Denial of Service (DOS) attacks, and the help ensure users code API requests efficiently.  We have introduced throttling to limit the maximum number of requests that will be processed from one IP address in any period.

Those maximums are:

• per Second: 1,
• per Minute: 10,
• per Hour: 200,
• per Day: 1500,
• per Week: 3000

We have also stopped access to the API from Free Trials and suspended sites - as that is easy access for hacking attempts.
