If you open a new calculation and click Operators, Functions, Logic, Answer Text, or another selector, but no tile is added to the formula, the calculation does not yet have a line to add tiles to.
A calculation is built from tiles, and tiles are placed onto a line. When you start a new calculation, you must create the first line before any tile can be added.
How to fix it
- Open the calculation and locate the Result Calculation or Score Calculation area you are building.
- Click the New Line button.
- Click the selector tiles (Operators, Functions, Logic, Answer Text, Free Text, or a score selector) to add them to the line.
Each tile you add is placed at the end of the line. You can drag and drop a tile to reposition it, and remove a tile by clicking the x in its top right corner.
Tip: Use the New Line button for each separate part of your statement. For example, place each When in a Case statement on its own line. This does not change how the calculation runs, but it makes the formula easier to read and makes Copy Last Line more useful.
