Different feedback text can be displayed in a report based on the respondent's score by using Ratings-Based Text. Each rating in a Rating Scale can have its own block of feedback text, and the report will automatically display the text that corresponds to the rating the respondent achieved.
To configure Ratings-Based Text:
- Open the Rating Scale that is applied to the relevant section, subsection, or assessment.
- For each rating within the scale (e.g., Beginner, Intermediate, Expert), enter the feedback text that should display when a respondent achieves that rating.
- In your Word report template, insert the appropriate Ratings-Based Text merge string at the position where the conditional feedback should appear.
- Generate a test report to confirm that the correct text appears for each rating range.
Ratings-Based Text can be configured at the assessment, section, and subsection level, allowing different feedback messages to be shown for overall results as well as for individual areas of the assessment.
