Brilliant Assessments offers a wide range of chart and graph types for use in feedback reports and results dashboards. Charts are inserted into Word report templates using merge strings, and each chart type is suited to a different style of data.
The available chart types are grouped by use case:
Comparing scores across sections or questions
- Vertical Bar Charts and Horizontal Bar Charts. Compare scores side by side.
- Spider Charts and Polar Charts. Show scores on a web or radar layout to view the overall shape of results at a glance.
- Line Charts and Area Charts. Show trends or patterns across categories.
Displaying a single score
- Gauges (Donut Charts). Highlight a single score against the full possible range.
- Single Horizontal Bar (Progress Bar). Display a score as a progress bar, often with rating color overlays.
Benchmark and cohort comparisons
- Bar-on-Bar Charts. Compare a respondent's score against a benchmark or cohort average.
- Circumplex Charts. Compare paired scores around a circular axis.
Distribution and correlation
- Histograms. Show how scores are distributed across respondents.
- Box and Whisker Charts. Display the spread and distribution of a set of scores.
Data tables and heatmaps
- Tables and Heatmaps. Display structured data in tabular form, optionally with color-coded ratings.
