You can now schedule when an assessment launches. Instead of welcome and invitation emails being sent immediately, you can set a future Launch Date and Time - the welcome emails are then held and only sent once that date and time is reached. This works for both individual responses and cohorts.
The Launch Date field replaces the former Assessment Date (on a response) and Request Date (on a cohort), and now includes a time as well as a date. Launch times use your tenant time, and the field defaults to today's date.
There are three ways to set a launch date:
- When creating a response or cohort manually. Open the Options tab in the response (or cohort) settings, set the Launch Date and Time, then click Save. The welcome email will be scheduled for that future date and time.

Via CSV upload. Download the latest CSV template from the system - it now includes a
Launch Date column. Enter the launch date and time in that column using the format
yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm, then upload as usual. - Via the API. A Launch Date and Time field has been added to the create response API request.
To confirm an email has been scheduled, open the Email Queue. Scheduled emails display their send date and time, for example "Scheduled for 14 Dec 2025 11:50pm".
Note: If you set or change a launch date to a date and time in the past, the welcome emails send immediately.
