Quick decision guide
-
I want to charge an individual respondent for taking an assessment.
Use: Charge per Response (Stripe checkout). See Charging for Responses. -
I run cohort-based programs (e.g., 360s / group assessments) and want to charge when a cohort is created.
Use: Charge for Cohort Initiation. See Charging for Cohort Initiation. -
I want to charge for follow-up / re-takes over time.
Use: Charge for Cohort Iterations. See Charging for Cohort Iteration. -
I want to sell an extra "premium" report after someone completes an assessment.
Use: Additional Feedback Report (paid add-on). See Charging for Responses and Reports. -
I sell in bulk to organizations/partners and want usage tracked (allocations, expiry, reporting).
Use: Allotments + Price Lists. See Managing Allotments and Setting Up Price Lists. -
I need different pricing for different organizations, currencies, or volume bands.
Use: Price Lists (supports bands + date validity). See Setting Up Price Lists.

Common pricing models
1) Pay-per-response
- Respondent pays before starting the assessment (Stripe checkout).
- Best when you sell directly to individuals.
2) Pay-per-cohort
- A customer pays when creating a cohort (optionally banded by number of participants).
- Best for 360/group programs where the "unit" is a cohort run.
3) Bulk licensing (allotments)
- Sell/allocate a number of responses or cohorts to an organization.
- System tracks what's available/used/expired (responses expire; cohorts typically count as used upon creation).
- Use Price Lists to manage pricing by organization, volume band, currency, and validity period.
Setup pathways
Path A: Direct charging
- Connect Stripe (admin setup).
- Enable charging on the assessment (per response and/or cohort/iteration charges).
- Test using a test credit card and verify receipts and user flow (see testing tip below).
Go to: Charging for Responses
Path B: Allotments (B2B / partner model)
- Connect Stripe (admin setup).
- Enable Allotments in Site Settings.
- Create one or more Price Lists for each assessment (and currency/volume bands as needed).
- Assign organizations to Price Lists and configure organization purchasing/allocation rules.
- Create allotments (allocated or purchasable) and confirm usage tracking behavior.
Go to: Managing Allotments and Setting Up Price Lists.
