Overview
The General tab under Site Settings > Features contains checkboxes for controlling the core functionality of your Brilliant Assessments platform. From this tab, you can enable or disable major features such as Allotments, Cohorts, Certifications, Dashboards, and more, each unlocking its own dedicated configuration area within the Features section.
To access it:
- Go to Administer > Site Settings.
- Open the Features tab.
- Select General.
The list below covers what each feature is with a link to the corresponding help article.
- Allotment Enable the allotment system to sell or allocate responses or cohorts to customers or partner organizations. Allotments track the number of responses or cohorts purchased or allocated, manage usage counts (invited, completed, expired, available), and control access based on organization allocation settings. Read more about Allotment.
- Certification Enable the certification management system for training and compliance assessments. When enabled, you can designate which rating levels pass certification, and the system automatically sends appropriate completion emails with or without certificates based on whether the respondent achieved a passing rating. Read more about Certification.
- Classifiers Enable categorizing and organizing assessment data using custom classifiers. Read more about Classifiers.
- Cohort Enable cohort functionality to group multiple responses together for comparative reporting. Cohorts allow you to collect feedback from multiple respondents (such as 360-degree assessments, team assessments, or tracking individual progress over time) and generate composite reports. Read more about Cohort
- Customer Types Differentiate between user segments for specialized handling. Read more about Customer Types.
- Dashboard Enable dashboard views for visual representation of assessment data. Dashboards provide at-a-glance insights into response data, completion rates, and assessment results with customizable visualizations. Read more about Dashboard. Read more about Dashboard.
- Group This is a legacy option that is rarely used. Groups were used for organizing responses but this functionality has been largely superseded by other features. You can Business Name or even just the Cohort Subject as alternatives
- Languages & Translations Enable multi-language assessment support with translation management. Read more about Languages and Translations.
- On Screen Pricing Whether the pricing is available is determined by the On-Screen Pricing checkbox. If that checkbox is not ticked, no pricing appears. This drives the pricing in the available assessment/respondent portal.
- Organizations Manage hierarchical organizational structures for partner portals and multi-level access. Read more about Organizations.
- Partner Portal Enable partner-specific access and functionality, including self-registration and organization management. Read more about Partner Portal.
-
Section Menu If selected, the response entry screen will have a section menu to assist in easy navigation around the response. Usually, this is only required when an assessor is using the system.
- Segmentations Enable an additional scoring strategy that crosses section and subsection boundaries. Questions can be marked as applicable to any number of segmentations, and ratings can then be reported for the segmentations as well as sections and subsections. Read more about Segmentations.
- SSO (Single Sign-On) Configure enterprise authentication integration for seamless login. Read more about SSO Configuration.
