Default Answer groups are used to assist in the building of new assessments. You can add more Default Answer groups to help this process further.
We recommend them when using:
- Multi Choice questions where the answers are often the same or similar
- Matrix Questions where you have a block of questions with the same available answers
- Rankings, where each item to be ranked will have an identical available answer set.
The answers to a particular question can be defaulted from the Default Answer Groups and then modified to the particular requirements of the question.
To access Default Answers Group:
- Go to Administer > Site Settings
- Navigate to Features > Media tab
- Click Default Answer Group tab

Add Group
- You can add your own personalized Answer group by clicking on the 'Add New Group' button
- Select your preferred 'Answer Format' from the drop-down selections. You can choose from:
- Single Choice
- Slider
- Matrix
- Ranking (drag & drop)
- Text Box
- Multi Line Text Box
- Multiple Choice
- Drop Down List
- Number
- Decimal
- Image
- Video
- Document and Files
- Enter a 'Group Text' - this is the 'Group Name' you give to your new default answer group - this is the name you'll see in the drop down list when adding answers - see bullet point 12 in this article: Add/Modify Questions – Brilliant Assessments
