Learn how to create and manage Default Answer Groups to speed up question building. Default Answer Groups let you define reusable answer sets that can be applied to questions across your assessments.
Default Answer Groups are used to assist in building new assessments. Instead of manually entering the same answers for each question, you can create reusable groups and apply them with a few clicks.

When to Use Default Answer Groups
Default Answer Groups are recommended when:
- Multiple Choice questions where the answers are often the same or similar across questions.
- Slider or Matrix questions where you have a block of questions with the same available answers (e.g. a 1-7 rating scale).
- Ranking questions where each item to be ranked will have an identical available answer set.
The answers to a particular question can be defaulted from a Default Answer Group and then modified to suit the specific requirements of that question - changes made at the question level do not affect the original group.
Tip: If every question in your assessment has unique answers, you may not need Default Answer Groups. They are most useful when you have a consistent set of answers that repeats across multiple questions.
