This article provides an overview of the Assessment Settings screen, which is organized into eleven tabs that control the behavior, appearance, and configuration of your assessments. Select a tab below to view the detailed reference guide for that tab's settings.
The Assessment Settings screen is the central location for managing all aspects of an assessment's configuration. It is organized into eleven tabs, each covering a distinct area of functionality.

Accessing Assessment Settings
To access the Assessment Settings, navigate to the Assessment List by clicking on Assessments in the main menu to the left of the screen. You can then access settings for each assessment by clicking on Settings alongside the assessment name.
1. General Tab
The General tab contains the core identity and behavior settings for your assessment, including the assessment name, version, external ID, segmentation type, and language. It also includes settings for controlling how respondents save and complete their responses, whether scoring is visible, and whether features like calculations and benchmarking are enabled.

2. Design Tab
The Design tab controls the visual appearance of your assessment, including background colors and images, content panel settings, banner colors, section and subsection styling, and question/answer font customization. Use this tab to match the assessment's look and feel to your organization's branding.

3. Options Tab
The Options tab manages advanced assessment behaviors such as availability dates, open responses and assessor settings, phased assessments, timed assessments, drivers, ReCAPTCHA challenge responses, PDF password protection, and font embedding. It also includes settings for the Available Assessments List and certification resit intervals.

4. Feedback Tab
The Feedback tab is where you manage all report outputs for your assessment. This includes configuring Individual Reports (completion reports, interim reports, and training certificates), Cohort Reports (settings and on-demand runs with filtering options), Results Dashboards, and the Outputs Panel that controls which reports and results are used for emails and the Cohort Home Page.

5. Cohort Tab
The Cohort tab appears when Cohort Initiations is enabled in Site Settings. It contains three sub-tabs: Cohort Settings (cohort type, completion days, external cohort initiation, iterative feedback), Cohort Roles (defining respondent roles such as Manager, Peers, or Self for 360 assessments), and Cohort Iterations (configuring reassessment cycles over time with automated initiation and respondent generation options).

6. Emails Tab
The Emails tab displays and manages all email templates linked to this assessment. You can add or edit email templates for different types (welcome, reminder, completion, cohort initiation, and more), customize the subject and body with merge fields, and specify customer types and cohort iterations for targeted emails.

7. Ratings Tab
The Ratings tab is where you define and manage the rating scales for your assessment. You can add base ratings, view and edit advanced ratings, and customize rating text at the segmentation, section, and subsection levels.

8. Media Tab
The Media tab displays all graphics currently uploaded against the assessment. You can add new graphics, edit existing ones, specify graphic types (such as assessment logos, footers, and body images), and configure navigation URLs and accessibility alt text.

9. Pricing Tab
The Pricing tab manages credit card payment settings for your assessment. This includes enabling payment requirements, configuring per-person or flat-rate pricing for cohorts, setting up price ranges based on respondent counts, and managing allotment pricing for partner organizations.

10. Site Text Tab
The Site Text tab allows you to customize the on-screen text displayed to respondents during the assessment. You can add or edit text entries by type (such as completion messages, cohort initiation text, and credit card screens), with support for different languages, organizations, customer types, and cohort iterations.

11. Sections Tab
The Sections tab provides a view of all sections that make up your assessment. You can add and edit sections (including timed sections and calculation-only sections), manage subsections, configure resources, and set section-level ratings with chart color overrides and question randomization.
