Designing Assessments Using AI Suggest

Use AI Suggest to build your assessment from start to finish!

AI Suggest will help with defining the Sections, Subsections, Questions, as well as all of the Rating and Report texts.

Follow the below instructions to build the assessment using AI Suggest:

1. Creating the Assessment Structure with AI Suggest

1a. Creating the Sections with AI Suggest

1. Click 'Assessments' from the Administer menu then click 'Add Assessment'.

2. Go to the Assessment Settings and update the name (and description) of the assessment. Then click 'Save and go to Assessment Builder'.

3. From the Builder, go to the first Section and click 'AI Suggest' --> 'Section'.

4. The Section AI Chat Dialog will appear with a default prompt (click here to learn how to configure the AI settings & prompts). If needs be, update the prompt to match the requirements, add extra detail if required. Then click 'Run'.

5. The AI suggested section names will now appear. If needs be, update or delete them. Then click 'Save sections'.

   5a. To replace a section, click 'Replace current sections'.

   5b. Click 'Reset' to go back to the Section prompt screen.

6. Once the sections are saved, the same steps can be repeated at subsection level.

7. From the Builder, go to the first subsection and click 'AI Suggest' --> 'Subsection'.

8. The Subsection AI Chat Dialog will appear with a default prompt (click here to learn how to configure the AI settings & prompts). If needs be, update the prompt to match the requirements, add extra detail if required. Then click 'Run'.

9. The AI suggested subsection names will now appear. If needs be, update or delete them. Then click 'Save subsections'. To replace any subsection, click 'Replace current subsections'.

    Click 'Reset' to go back to the Section prompt screen.

10. Once the sections and subsections are saved, let's populate the questions.
     

1c. Creating the Questions and Answers with AI Suggest

11. Go to the first subsection and click 'AI Suggest' --> 'Question'.

12. The Question AI Chat Dialog will appear.

    12a. Select the Answer Format from the dropdown list.

    12b. Select the Answer Options. If needs be, create a new default answer group so it can be selected in this dropdown list.

    12c. If needs be, update the prompt to match the requirements (click here to learn how to configure the AI settings and prompts), add extra detail if required. 

    12d. Add additional detail to guide AI towards a suitable question list

    12e. Then click 'Run'.

13. The AI suggested questions will now appear. If needs be, update or delete them. Then click 'Save questions'. To replace any questions, click 'Replace current questions'.

     Note: The scoring from the default answer group has automatically been applied.

14. Repeat steps 7 to 13 for all sections and subsections of the assessment.

Make sure to configure the Ratings under Assessment Settings.

Use AI Suggest to generate the Rating Text at section, subsection and segmentation levels.

2a. Adding the Assessment Rating Texts:

1. Go to Assessment Settings --> Ratings --> Edit.

2. Click 'AI Suggest':

3. The Rating Text Assessment AI Chat Dialog will appear with a default prompt (click here to learn how to configure the AI settings & prompts). If needs be, update the prompt to match the requirements, add extra detail if required. Then click 'Run'.

4. The AI suggested Rating Text will appear. Update as needed and click 'Save Text'.

     Click 'Reset' to go back to the Assessment Rating Text prompt screen.

5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for all ratings.
    

2b. Adding the Section Rating Texts:

1. Go back to the Assessment Builder, to the section and click 'Edit'.

2. Click 'AI Suggest' for the first rating.

3. The Rating AI Chat Dialog will appear with a default prompt (click here to learn how to configure the AI settings & prompts). If needs be, update the prompt to match the requirements, add extra detail if required. Then click 'Run'.

4. The AI suggested Rating Text will appear. Update as needed and click 'Save Text'.

     Click 'Reset' to go back to the Section Rating Text prompt screen.

5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for all ratings.
    

2c. Adding the Subsection Rating Texts:

1. Go to the subsection and click 'Edit'.

2. Click 'AI Suggest' for the first rating.

3. The Rating AI Chat Dialog will appear with a default prompt (click here to learn how to configure the AI settings & prompts). If needs be, update the prompt to match the requirements, add extra detail if required. Then click 'Run'.

4. The AI suggested Rating Text will appear. Update as needed and click 'Save Rating Text'.

     Click 'Reset' to go back to the Subsection Rating Text prompt screen.

5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for all ratings.
    

2d. Adding the Segmentation Rating Texts:

1. In Assessment Settings, go to the segmentation and click 'Options'.

2. Click 'AI Suggest' for the first rating.

3. The Rating AI Chat Dialog will appear with a default prompt (click here to learn how to configure the AI settings & prompts). If needs be, update the prompt to match the requirements, add extra detail if required. Then click 'Run'.

4. The AI suggested Rating Text will appear. Update as needed and click 'Save Rating Text'.

     Click 'Reset' to go back to the Segmentation Rating Text prompt screen.

5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 for all ratings.
    

2e. Adding Report Texts:

1. Go to the question and click 'Edit'. Then click 'Options' for the answer you want to add a Report text to.

2. Under the Report Text tab, click 'AI Suggest'.

3. The Rating AI Chat Dialog will appear with a default prompt (click here to learn how to configure the AI settings & prompts). If needs be, update the prompt to match the requirements, add extra detail if required. Then click 'Run'.

4. The AI suggested Report Text will appear. Update as needed and click 'Save Text'.

5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for answers needing report texts.
    

3. Configuring the AI Setting & Prompts

At any point in time the AI settings & prompts can be configured and/or updated.

1. Click any 'AI Suggest' button.

2. Click 'Configure AI Settings'. 

This will open the AI Settings. 

Review these settings and update them if needs be and click Save.

3b. Configure the AI Prompts

3. Click on 'Configure Prompts'.

4. The list of prompts already configured will appear. The options are:

   • Edit prompt.

   • Delete prompt.

   • Add New prompt.

5. When adding new prompt:

   5a. Select Prompt Type from the dropdown list

   5b. Type Prompt Name

   5c. Type Prompt Text. The prompt text should include some 'dynamic' content. Please refer to the list of merge string available to be used in those prompts:

   {AssessmentName}

   {SectionName}

   {SubSectionName}

   {SegmentationName}

   {QuestionName}

   {Answer}

   {DefaultAnswerGroupName}

   {ScoreRange}

   5d. Click 'Is Default' to nominate this prompt to be the default one.
