Customizing Your Views:
Administrators can opt to customize the Response List View and Cohort List View by specifying which columns you would like to show by default. This allows users to remove blank columns, ensuring only useful information for the user is displayed on the Response and/or Cohort List.
You can also save the View and assign that to other administrators and assessment managers.
The below instructions are for the Response List; however, the process is exactly the same for the Cohort List, for which you would click on 'Cohorts' rather than 'Responses' - as indicated by the arrows below.
Clicking on the cog icon (as indicated by the red arrow in the above screenshot) displays a pop-up box, where selections can be made to specify your preferred view.
- Select View. Here you can select an existing view, or opt to 'Add new view'.
- Is System view. Ticking this box enables this view to be available for other users of your site, including both Managers and Administrators. See below for more information on this feature.
- Edit View Name. Enter a name for the new view.
- Column Name/Column Width/Visible in Grid/Don't Wrap Text. Here you can:
- View the Column Name.
- Set the Column Width. Although the width is expressed in pixels, it is their size compared to the total that is more important. If there are less columns to display, then the system will make the all wider to the specified relative amount.
- Visible in Grid - Tick to toggle for the column to be visible in the Response List or not.
- Don't Wrap Text - Tick to disable the text from wrapping. If ticked, the text will all be on a single line and end in ... if it overflows the box. If you prefer the text to wrap, untick the box.
Use this icon alongside the column name to change the column location by dragging it up/down the list of columns.
- Save/Cancel. Click to Save your changes, or Cancel changes you've made without saving.
Is System View
If this box is ticked when you create a new view, the view will be available for other users of your site. Administrators can select them (they will be added to the available views), or you can assign them to Administrators or Assessment Managers.
- Navigate to the 'Manage Users' page.
- Click 'Edit' alongside the user you want to make the view available for.
Scroll to the bottom of the 'edit' page
- You'll then see the Views that are available from both the Response List and Cohort List Views.
- Tick to specify the view for this user and Save.
